It can often look like a very large mole or a large birthmark. The formation of sweat glands can be disrupted in nevi – so sometimes a person with a large nevus may not sweat where their nevus is located. A congenital nevus, also known as a mole, is a type of pigmented birthmark that appears at birth or during a baby’s first year.
